AssessDrive - Website Terms of Use (assessdrive.com)

Status: DRAFT for solicitor review. Machine-drafted by Counsel. Not reviewed by a qualified solicitor. For the website only, as it will be when AssessDrive release 1 is the free early-access app: the site sells nothing. The app has its own Terms and Privacy Policy. Every bracket marked CONFIRM is a fact Counsel was not given. Do not publish as final. Company name, number and registered office: per Anton's Companies House extract of 2026-10-01 (number confirmed in text by Anton, 1 October 2026, 19:45 UTC) and Anton's screenshot of the Companies House search result of 2 October 2026, 06:20 BST (SEEKRESOLVE. LTD, 17339895, incorporated 14 July 2026, 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX); Counsel has not read the register itself.

Prepared: 1 October 2026. Intended address: assessdrive.com/website-terms.

1. Who we are, and what these terms cover

This website, assessdrive.com, is run by SEEKRESOLVE. LTD (trading as AssessDrive), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17339895, registered office 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. [VAT registration number, if registered - CONFIRM.] You can contact us at [email protected]. For anything about your personal data, write to [email protected].

These terms cover your use of this website. The AssessDrive app has its own Terms and Privacy Policy, at assessdrive.com/terms and assessdrive.com/privacy. If you use the website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Using the site

  • The site is free to read and use. You may use it for your own lawful, personal or business purposes.
  • Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, copy it automatically in a way that harms it, or use it to send anything unlawful or harmful.
  • We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time, and we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

3. General information, not advice

Everything on this site, including the tools, the guides and the Logbook articles, is general information. It is not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice, and it does not take account of your own circumstances. HMRC and gov.uk are the authority on the rules. Check your own position with an accountant or with HMRC before you rely on anything here.

We try to keep the site accurate and say when each page was last checked, but tax rates, thresholds and rules change (many change every 6 April) and a page may be out of date. If you spot a mistake, please tell us at [email protected].

4. The tools

The calculator, the Making Tax Digital checker and the expenses guide give estimates and general guidance only.

  • They work from the figures you enter and from the published rates for the tax year shown. They do not know about any other income, allowances or circumstances you may have.
  • They are for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They are not available for Scottish taxpayers, whose income tax bands are different.
  • A tool shows figures side by side. It does not recommend which choice is right for you. Your accountant decides.
  • Everything you type into a tool stays in your browser and is not sent to us. [CONFIRM by test: Director to show that the tools make no network request.]
  • You are responsible for checking a result before you use it for a tax return or any decision.

5. The Logbook (our articles)

The Logbook publishes short articles about tax, licensing and running costs for drivers. Each article is drafted with AI help. Every fact is checked against the official sources listed in the article, and a person at SEEKRESOLVE. LTD reads each article before it is published. The articles are general information (section 3). Each one says when it was last checked, and we may correct or remove an article at any time.

6. Downloads

The templates and other files you can download (for example, the CSV log templates) are provided as they are. You may use them for your own records. Please do not sell them or pass them on as your own. We give no promise that they suit your needs or that they are free of errors.

7. Links to other websites

The site links to other websites, such as gov.uk and Google Play. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they contain or for how they use your information. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

8. Our content, and other people's names

  • The text, design, tools, logo and the name AssessDrive belong to SEEKRESOLVE. LTD or the people who license them to us. You may link to the site and quote a short extract with credit. You may not copy more of it, or use our name or logo, without our written permission. [CONFIRM: the name AssessDrive has not yet been checked against trade mark registers; see the solicitor questions.]
  • Some information on this site comes from gov.uk and legislation.gov.uk. Where we reuse their words, tables or lists, it is under the Open Government Licence v3.0, and the page says so: "Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0."
  • Other companies' names, such as the platforms drivers work for, are the trade marks of their owners. We use them only to describe the documents AssessDrive reads. AssessDrive is not made, sponsored or endorsed by any of them, and is not connected to HMRC.

9. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

The site is free and gives general information (section 3). Subject to the paragraph above, we are not responsible for loss that results from relying on it. If you use the site for your business, we are also not responsible for loss of profit, income or business, or for indirect loss. [SOLICITOR: confirm this wording is reasonable and enforceable for a free information site under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.]

10. Nothing is sold on this site

This site does not sell anything. If we ever sell something through it, such as a subscription, that will have its own terms, shown to you before you buy.

11. Changes

We may change these terms. The current version is the one on this page, with its date at the top. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live. [SOLICITOR: confirm the jurisdiction wording.]

13. Contact and complaints

SEEKRESOLVE. LTD, 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. General: [email protected]. Data protection: [email protected]. We aim to reply within 5 working days. If you are unhappy with how we have used your personal data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
